PowerTIG 185 DV

The Everlast PowerTIG Analog series focuses on the basics, and focuses on the most essential functions and useful features needed in a professional level TIG welder. These units are geared toward users who prefer a traditional control layout and want a quick setup without the hassle of navigating modern menus. While the analog look and feel may seem basic, these machines consistently deliver professional-grade, reliable performance. These units have a proven track record since introducing the analog version of the PowerTIG line in 2008. Today, the traditional interface is backed by digitally controlled internal IGBT inverter components. This architecture reduces the total parts count, which greatly improves operating efficiency and overall reliability compared to early-generation analog internals.

The versatile PowerTIG 185DV is ideal for everything from home shops to portable field applications. Thanks to its AC/DC output, it can weld almost any metal, including aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, and titanium. Its dual-voltage design allows it to operate on either 120V or 240V input power without compromising arc quality, though using a 120V input will reduce the maximum output amperage. This 185-amp machine delivers exactly what you need with adjustable AC balance and AC frequency controls. It also features a preset, two-speed pulse function that works in both AC and DC modes, utilizing 1 Hz and 50 Hz settings optimized for a wide variety of welding situations. The unit comes with a basic welding package. This welder comes almost ready to weld out of the box. The unit comes with a basic welding package, which includes the TIG torch, foot pedal, regulator and work clamp. It also includes a basic consumable starter pack, 240V NEMA 6-50 plug and 120V NEMA 5-15 plug adapter. You will need to supply tungsten, shielding gas, and filler metal to get started.
