The 200A North SM200N spool gun fits older model PowerMTS units and Power i-MIG models with the smaller 7 pin power connector (See picture above). While this gun fits newer Lightning, Thunder, and Cyclone models, it is not recommended for use with any current due to the 200A limit of this gun (mixed Ar/CO2 or offers reduced duty cycle at 200A). Notice: Operation at or above the limits of the gun on any newer welder 200A or over will result in limited service life and is not covered under warranty. This configuration allows Wire Feed/Amp control at the gun. Wire Feed Speed control will be by passed on the panel and can only be controlled on the gun when used. It comes fitted with a .030-.035" drive roll for feeding Aluminum. For best results use .035" or order an .045" drive roll for Aluminum. The lower wire speeds produced by older/smaller units do not produce high enough wire feed speeds to support .030" Aluminum wire.
