The Everlast Vortex 105-T TIG Cold Wire feeder is designed with production welding welding in mind. The continuous cold wire feed system (not electrically live) feeds wire directly into the puddle as you TIG weld. The attachment arm connects to the torch and angles in such a way that the wire is coming out into the puddle as the TIG torch heats the base metal. This eliminates hand feeding. The continuous action feeds smoothly and steadily into the puddle. This unit has a delay feed and a wire retract function to help coordinate the wire feeder action with the start and end of the the weld. By adding an adjustable wire feed delay, the puddle can get hot and molten before wire is feed into the puddle. The unit also has a wire retract function which helps to properly finish off the weld, and fixes the position of the wire before the arc starts so that the wire is not touching the cold metal when the arc is struck. The wire feeder can help many users increase welding rates, while simultaneously reducing fatigue.

The unit can be operated on either 240V 1 phase or 120V 1 phase power. The unit includes an 240V to 120V power adapter. There is no need to rewire to change over the operation.

Please Note: This is not a pulsed wire feeder or a live wire feeder where the wire is energized. It can only be used with TIG machines.
