If you bought a machine with all the bells-and-whistles, this is what you are looking for. The 2T/4T torch switch enables you to weld with "all-the bells-and-whistles" of your welder. The 2T/4T mode allows the user to not only start and end the arc, but also allows you to fully pre-program the weld cycle, by entering start amps, end amps, pre flow, post flow, up and down slope functions (some units may have more functions than others) and control it with either a 2 step press and hold or a 4 step press, release, press, release action. This allows a more methodical and science based approach to welding by exactly controlling amperage and parameters through deliberate settings in advanced. 4T settings allow the user to toggle the switch to cue the different stages of the weld cycle. The 2T automatically controls the cycle. By having the start/end amp settings along with slope this allows the user to create a Hot (or Cold) start and also a crater fill setting to end the weld properly without leaving a large crater at the end by merely using the switch. This switch can be attached with readily available zip ties, or with small velcro straps (provided by user) directly to the torch handle.

The 2T/4T switch does not control Amperage like a foot pedal. The amperage is preset on the machine as well as all the other functions. The operating the switch in either 2T or 4T mode will cycle the programming based off the settings you choose before the welding starts. The 2T/4T Remote switch is also required for units with Lift TIG with remote control settings to energize the Tungsten to allow a lift start to take place. (Live lift does not require this switch...some units have one or the other and some have both functions.

You must have a remote connector on the front of your unit to use this switch!

This fits all Everlast PowerTIG, Typhoon, PowerPro, PowerArc (only on remote equipped models), PowerUltra, and Ultra Arc models. It does not fit MTS models. Some units the torch switch will function only as an on/off switch on units with limited additional functions.
